Mrs. Meno is the caretaker of books, or the librarian, at St. Cajetan School. She is a proud mother of 4 grown children--Alicia, Joe, Melissa, and Alex. She is also a grandmother of 4--Leila, Lucia, Nico and Frank. She has lived in Evergreen Park and has been a Queen of Martyrs Parishioner for almost 44 years. Graduating from Aquinas Dominican High School in the South Shore area in 1965, Mrs. Meno began her college studies that June at Illinois Teachers College (Chicago State University), and received a Bachelor of Arts In Elementary Education and an Illinois Teacher Certification in 1968. In 1993, she began her teaching career at St. Cajetan as the Preschool Aide for the 3 and 4 year old programs, and in 1994 she became the teacher for the 3 programs. She has been a First Grade REP Instructor and an After-school Program Aide. For the last 4 years, she became the part time Librarian.
St. Cajetan is her second home. She has met so many wonderful teachers, students, parents and grandparents. It makes her so proud to watch these students grow into young adults. She hopes she has instilled some good memories from Preschool and the Library. She believes the students should never forget to explore and to keep READING.
