Admission Policy
Cajetan School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or athletic and other school-administered programs. As openings become available, the following priorities will be used to accept students to St. Cajetan School:
1. Members of St. Cajetan Parish
2. Members of other parishes
3. Non-Catholic students
Children entering Pre-K must be four (4) years of age by August 31st Children entering Kindergarten must be five (5) years of age by August 31st At the time of registration, all new students seeking admission to St. Cajetan School are evaluated on the basis of current standardized test scores and report cards.
Requirements include:
- Verification of active parish affiliation/stewardship
- Health Records
- Immunization Records
- Birth Certificate (original)
- Baptismal Certificate (Catholic applicants only)
- Report Cards
- Standardized Test Results
- Record of IEP
Students applying for Admission in Grades 1-6 must present a copy of the current report card and standardized test results. These will be reviewed to determine whether the program at St. Cajetan School will meet the educational needs of the student. An interview with the students 1st grade and above is part of the admission process. We do not accept transfer students in 7th and 8th grade unless under specific circumstances, which will be determined by the administration. If a student in these grades is accepted, they will need to abide by the admission guidelines stated above. Transfer students will also be accepted on a probationary status for the first 6 months, meaning these students can be asked to leave if they are unwilling to comply with our precedures and policies.
Admission Age for Preschool
A child entering St. Cajetan's three-year old or four-year old preschool program must be three or four years old by August 31st of the entry year, respectively. All children entering the preschool program MUST also be toilet trained by the first day of class.
Admission Age for Kindergarten
A child entering Kindergarten must be five by August 31st of the entry year. All children entering the Kindergarten program MUST also be toilet trained by the first day of class.

Schools operated under the auspices of the Catholic Bishop of Chicago, a corporation role, in the Archdiocese of Chicago, admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students in these schools.
Archdiocesan schools do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color or national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, loan programs, athletic or other school-administered programs.
