Before coming to St. Cajetan, Mrs. Lonergan taught GED classes at Moraine Valley Community College before joining St. Bernadette Elementary School for a 15-year tenure in junior high. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary and Special Education from Loyola University and a Master’s in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has also completed post-graduate work through Loyola University.  She has three talented and hard working adult children of whom she is very proud.

As an educator, Mrs. Lonergan believes that human beings thrive on learning, and so works to provide fun, challenging lessons that encourage students to think and grow.  Her professional mission is to help each of her students to grow both spiritually and academically.  She believes that humans thrive on learning and finding peace with God. She strives everyday to provide fun, challenging educational and spiritual sctivities that will encourage students to think and grow.
