Homework Policy

Missing & Late Homework
If students do not turn their homework in by the assigned due date, they will lose a Dojo point. Assignment details will be recorded on Dojo (i.e. Math HW pg. 75). Missing homework will also be recorded on PowerSchool as a zero and marked as "missing" until it is turned in.
Students will lose 10% of the final assignment grade each day it is late until it is turned in. If an assignment is turned in late, the lowest grade that can be earned is a 50%. PowerSchool will be updated after the assignment is turned in and marked as “late.”
Math Test Corrections
Students are able to complete corrections on Math assessments in an effort to receive a higher grade! Students may NOT complete corrections on cumulative exams, classwork, or quizzes. Students who submit correct corrections will receive 0.5 points back for every 1 point lost. For example, if a student incorrectly answers a 1 point question and submits corrections, they are able to receive +0.5 points back. If they incorrectly answer a 2 point question and submit corrections, they are able to receive +1 point, and so on.
Corrections are not mandatory unless otherwise stated by the teacher. When completing corrections, the original assignment should not be modified! All corrections should be completed on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the back of the original assignment. Only incorrect answers need to be corrected! With the corrections, students should include the correct answer with work shown. Both the original assignment and the corrections should be turned in together! Students MUST complete corrections in school. Corrections that cannot be made up in school will be scheduled during the week after school: 2:30 - 3:15 if needed.
Absences
If your child is absent, please contact the office and email me! All absent work will be set aside to be completed when your child returns to school. If your child is going to be absent for an extended period of time, and you would like the work ahead of time, please make the request a week in advance. If you would like the work ahead of time, it is expected that your child will complete the work during their absence and submit it the day of their return.
