Girls Basketball

Program Overview: 

St. Cajetan’s Girls Basketball program encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a fun and competitive environment. Whether players are just starting out or preparing for higher-level competition, our program offers a place for every athlete to grow and enjoy the game.

All players are provided with a jersey and shorts by St. Cajetan.

Our 3rd grade teams participate exclusively in the Mt. Greenwood League, with a strong focus on building fundamental skills and learning the basics of the game in a fun and supportive environment.

The 4th grade team competes in both the Mt. Greenwood League and the South Suburban League.
Teams in grades 5–8 compete in the South Suburban League as well as the Southside Catholic League, offering players more competitive opportunities as they grow in experience and skill.

For 3rd–5th grade, girls are placed on teams randomly—there are no "A" or "B" teams at this level. Beginning in 6th grade, players participate in tryouts conducted by an impartial third party to determine team placement.
